The Process
1. Initial Application (No
Obligation)
- Call me at 937-572-3713
or 888-843-9505, and I'll provide you with a customized quote.
- We will set an
appointment and if you live in or near Dayton, OH, I will meet you
at your house to go over the documents and explain the process. If
you are outside of Dayton, this step will happen by mail. Then, our
processing team will help you arrange the counseling.
2. Counseling
- We will provide
you with a list of independent financial counselors and if you wish
will help you set the appointment.
- Schedule a meeting
with the counselor of your choice. This counselor will be able to
talk to you objectively about reverse mortgages and will make sure
that you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.
3. Appraisal
- Once Value
Financial receives your signed application and counseling certificate,
Value Financial will contact an appraiser in your area.
- They will complete
an assessment of your home, at no out-of-pocket expense to you, including
the determination of your home value. *
4. Closing
- The settlement
agent will contact you to schedule a closing date and time.
- Sign all required
documents at closing.
- After a mandatory
three-day rescission period, Value Financial funds your reverse
mortgage.
- You receive your
cash and make no more monthly mortgage payments ever again, and the
remaining proceeds will be left as a line of credit.
